Oh dear, the second week has come and gone and I haven't written anything. Here's why: The last days I spent mostly drinking and eating (apart from going to school, of course). I especially appreciate the fine Italian tradition of "aperitivo". Originally, this means having a drink before dinner. But in the last few days, it's been getting out of hand a bit, the period being extended from just after school (1.15) to just before going to bed. My favorite drink now is Spritz, which is a bit surprising because I don't normally like bitter taste at all. But you get a bigger glass, which is why I prefer it to Bellini.
The challenge is to find the place where they have the biggest free buffet to go with the aperitivo - so far, our first favourite, Blanco, wins. But the search will go on.
Sometimes, one still needs some dinner (although usually the buffet is enough), so I'm also trying out restaurants (successfully). My favourite so far is a Trattoria in this little bay, which is only about a half-hour walk from our appartment. It's still part of Genova, but feels like a little fishing village. Perfetto!

Very lovely day in Italy. Actually, we've been having just absurdly beautiful days over here. Now if I can just get moved back into my house...
