Last Friday, I went to the opening of the exhibition "Warm the Winter" by artist
Moira Brown. One of the many things I liked about that evening was Moira explaining about her new project, the "
Zen Book of Hours". She will paint something from her garden every day of the year, and described how she's "finding the love" in little things like roots, seeds, brambles, or even a pair of pine needles.
This idea has struck a chord with me. I'm back at home now, and at first found everything here a bit dull, grey and ordinary (after the exotic colours and sounds of Australia). But if I look a bit closer, there are things of beauty everywhere, and I'll try to find them right here and now!

WOW, that is such a cool photograph. You should submit that to a competition or something!
I think a lot of your photos are really good--artistic. And I was hoping to see more of the "home stomping grounds", winter or not.
